23. My first conversation in Norwegian
Michal Ryszard Wojcik (2003 August 10):I attended a linguistic summer school in the city of Lublin in Poland. There I met a person who spoke Norwegian as a foreign language. I told him about Norsk Experiment and he offered to have a little conversation with me in Norwegian. That was the first time in my life that I had talked in Norwegian.
The conversation had no communicational intention. The purpose was to test my Norwegian speaking. In the beginning it was like: my name is ... , I have a brother and ... , I live in ... , etc. Then we talked about the Norwegian author Erlend Loe, about my girlfriend, about my recent short stay in Holland to visit my brother who studied there.
His report was that I spoke very clearly for a learner making his first attempt at spoken Norwegian.
